CSNOx enters its final product standardization IMO type approval phase. A 100,000 dwt tanker is scheduled for installation, testing and commissioning as per IMO Type Approval requirements. It will be verified by ABS and the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore.

Ecospec received financial support from Singapore Government and was awarded S$2 million technological funding from the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore for its fully Singapore-developed emission reduction system, CSNOx.

Ecospec received full Product Type Approval (PTA) for the generator. With the Product Design Assessment (PDA) and PTA, the product has proven its working efficiency and therefore suitable for its application. Along with an appropriately designed abator tower, the CSNOx system is ready to serve the shipping industry.

Ecospec was given the honor to present updates on the initial phase of the ongoing IMO Type Approval certification process for its pioneering CSNOx innovation during the 6oth session of Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) or the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The presentation was very well received and much acclaimed by the MEPC delegations.
